Gee Whiz! I Must Have Fallen Down A Rabbit Hole!

I have neglected this blog for so long, I should be ashamed. I have actually been quite busy in my YelliKelli shop lately. Lots of customs going on! You can see some of that on the YelliKelli blog. For now, I will post a couple of finds I have listed in my LPT shop on Etsy. This "Big Blue" cone of curly loopy yarn is a great deal...tons of yarn on this baby! And this beautiful copy of "Gone With The Wind" was a thrit store find, but so lovely and in good shape, I think it would be such a wonderful addition to a Southern Girls library! I have been selling lots of my "Double Wide's" lately. These are my serge purge packs of serger scraps. HeyGuys! If you bought one, send me a pic of what you made! I'll post here!

A Childhood Dream Realized!!

OK, So when I was a small child, one of my nextdoor friends had every toy imaginable! In particular, she had the NEW Fisher Price Giant Screen Music Box TV! Oh how I wanted one! I used to go straight to it whenever I went to her house to play.

I never got one.

Yesterday, I went to Salvation Army in search of silk ties for a costume project, but was stopped in my tracks when I saw this behind the counter..where they keep the "Good Stuff". I asked to see it, wound it up, and watched it roll the pictures and play the melody.

I was five years old again! Uh,,YES...I bought it! Especially when another customer said "AWWWWW" and started toward it.

Now it will sit in a special place to remind me about what it was like to be a kid and wish for something...and GET IT!!!.......Finally.

Every time I park my car out under the trees...it gets covered in these things!

Autumn Showers Bring....Mushrooms!

It has done nothing but RAIN here for weeks and weeks and weeks....so everything outside is covered in MUSHROOMS! These are just a few within a few feet of my porch! Check out the fat one! I've never seen one like that before! Looks like a giant popover! And, Yes, I do know that is poison ivy. Did I mention we live in a little cottage in the forest? I have no plans to touch it to remove it, we just steer clear. The fallen branch is actually covered in shelf fungus, but it seemed to fit in this category. Now, if I could just see one of the gnomes around here somewhere!
